Planning Your Flight: Check-In Guide

Whether you're a first-time traveller or in need of a refresher on the basics, our check-in guide is here to help you prepare and check-in for your domestic or international flight.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about checking in on time as we outline a to-do list for when you're at home and at the airport.

 Keep track of your flight's status when at the airport

Domestic Check-In Guide

At home

  1. Know what time you need to leave the house to get to the airport
  2. Pack your things (check out our baggage guide)
  3. Check-in online via the airline website 24 hours prior to departure
  4. Print your boarding pass
  5. Provide valid Australian Photo Identification for domestic check-in

Getting there

  • Be at the airport at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure time

At the airport

  1. Check-in at the counter (if required) or drop your baggage off
  2. Check gate number and flight status
  3. Have your flight itinerary ready
  4. Sit down and get comfy!
 Be sure to have all your documents ready at check-in

International Check-In Guide

At home

  1. Know what time you need to leave the house to get to the airport
  2. Pack your things (check out our baggage guide)
  3. Have your flight itinerary ready
  4. Ensure you have your valid passport ready

Getting there

  • Be at the airport at least 150 minutes prior to scheduled departure time

At the airport

  1. Proceed to check-in counter with passport and itinerary ready
  2. Go through security
  3. Continue through customs
  4. Check the gate number and flight status
  5. Sit down and get comfy!
