Jetting its way across the skies tonight is the long awaited debut of the United non-stop service between Los Angeles and Melbourne. Utilising the new state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, passengers on the 14hr 35min journey will enjoy a new level of service and comfort.
The new non-stop service will shave approximately three hours from the journey which previously stopped in Sydney. The 787-9 aircraft includes features such as larger windows with adjustable tint, larger overhead storage space, a quieter cabin, cleaner, healthier air filtration system and a lower altitude pressure to help reduce the effects of jetlag.
Flight UA98 is expected to touch down in the Victorian capital at 08:15, Tuesday morning, 28 Oct 2014.
United 787-9 Seat Plan
United will offer 252 seats. 48 in United BusinessFirst with 204 in United Economy including 88 Economy Plus seats.
