How does Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow celebrate the arrival of British Airways’ new A380? She does it suspended on top-of-the-world, at Singapore's equally legendary Marina Bay Sands‘ Infinity Pool of course.
Today British Airways launched their latest A380 destination - a thrice weekly service between Singapore and London Heathrow. A jumbo sized celebration will be kicking off tonight at the hotel’s glamorous roof-top pool. The star-studded affair will be the official launch for the much anticipated service between the two World Cities.
"The location for the shoot was stunning and I'm glad to finally have a photo of myself in the famous infinity pool." said Gwyneth. "Singapore has always been a top destination on my wish list, so when British Airways approached me to help launch their impressive A380 I couldn't resist - it was a great opportunity, both fun and truly unique."
The Hollywood star dazzled onlookers at Marina Bay Sands as she posed in a comfy British Airways Club World seat, suspended from the famous infinity pool a staggering 650 feet above street level. Draped in a floor length teal dress by British designer Safiyaa, with 'sky-heels' by Jimmy Choo, the actress provided the perfect blend of Hollywood glamour and British flair.
For Australians, the A380 service will be available on Heathrow flight BA12 from Singapore. The outbound A380 London flights will depart Singapore each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with return flights departing Heathrow each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
British Airways recently took top honours at the 2014 Business Traveller Awards. The airline won the coveted first place awards for ‘Best Airline,’ ‘Best short-Haul Airline’ and ‘Best Frequent Flyer Programme.’ British Airways was recognised for its economy class offerings too, ranking second in the ‘Best Economy Class category.’
