Garuda Indonesia has been voted the world’s Most Loved Airline for the third year in a row, with an 85 per cent satisfaction rating.

The airline, which flies to Bali from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, received the accolade based on SKYTRAX customer reviews, coming out on top from more than 420 airlines in last month’s survey.

Criteria incorporated seat comfort, onboard services, food and beverages, inflight entertainment, onboard Wi-Fi, airport services and value for money.

The award comes hot on the heels of Garuda winning World’s Best Cabin Staff in the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards, based on criteria such as techniques, efficiency, attention, enthusiasm, attitude, friendliness and overall hospitality.

To celebrate, Garuda Indonesia cabin staff performed a traditional dance at the awards ceremony at England’s Farnborough Airshow in July.

Garuda Indonesia president and CEO M. Arif Wibowo said: “The success in winning the World’s Best Cabin Crew award once more in 2016 reflects the highest commitment from everyone in Garuda Indonesia, particularly the cabin crew, in delivering the best service with the highest standard to all passengers.”

The airline also rated in the Top 10 in the world for Cleanest Aircraft Cabins, and the Top 10 Best Airlines in Asia.
