Australia's second busiest airport opened its doors in November to its newest domestic terminal: Terminal 4.

Airlines now arriving and departing from Terminal 4 include Jetstar, Tiger and Regional Express (REX).

As part of the terminal development, a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone, a bus interchange, taxi rank and a new 2,800-capacity car parking bay are now open and just a short walk from Terminal 4.

A wide range of new food and fashion retailers have also opened, giving passengers more options.

Mr Lyell Strambi, CEO Melbourne Airport said, “We are delighted to welcome Jetstar and its passengers to Terminal 4. As the largest airline operating from our new domestic terminal, we look forward to helping Jetstar grow and providing their passengers with a great Melbourne Airport experience.

“Our new transport hub provides dedicated facilities and parking for T4 passengers and with the drop-off and pick-up zones within the transport hub, it means there is a short, safe and car-free walk to the terminal.

“We have a great new range of food and fashion retailers within Terminal 4, and they are all proving popular with passengers as well as airport-based staff.

“Thank you to all of our airlines, passengers, contractors and staff who have helped us to reach this significant milestone. We all know that Melbourne Airport never sleeps and we also know that the impacts of building this terminal and transport hub have been felt by many - we thank everyone for your patience.”
