Australian Immigration and Border Protection has confirmed rolling strikes at airports around the country starting Tuesday, 22 March.
These strikes will affect all international travellers flying into and out of Australian airports from 22-31 March, with most strikes lasting anywhere between one and 24 hours. Strikes will not take place Saturday, 26 March.
Delays are anticipated. Passengers departing Australia during this time should give themselves at least three hours to complete border protection.
Those arriving into Australia should also expect lengthy wait times that might affect connecting flights. Cruise departures and arrivals may also be impacted.
