Simone Willey, the Assistant Manager at Flight Centre Ballina Fair recently spent a whirlwind five-days exploring Hong Kong.

"It was just magical to check out this great Asian destination. Most of my day trips were focused around the waterways - it was absolutely fascinating to travel around by boat. The Junk Boat tour to Aberdeen was great - as was the ferry ride to dinner on Lamma Island. I also took the tram to the Peak so that I could admire Victoria Harbour from above," said Simone.

Symphony of Lights over Victoria Harbour

"On one night I ate at Cucina, a wonderful restaurant located in the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel. I had a beautiful lobster bisque and a delicious eye fillet steak. Every night over Victoria Harbour there's a light show that starts at 8pm called the Symphony of Lights. From the restaurant I had magnificent views of the show. The buildings that line the harbour are creatively incorporated into the show."

A Junk Boat Tour

"It was really interesting being inside a Junk Boat; they take around 15 passengers. I did a tour around Victoria Harbour and Aberdeen in a Junk Boat. I saw some luxury boats moored in the harbour - I grabbed my camera to take the shot from within the Junk Boat."

Jumbo Floating Restaurant

"On a Junk Boat tour we motored past this floating seafood restaurant that literally sits in the middle of a channel. The restaurant's facade is very impressive."

High Rise Apartments in Aberdeen

"These apartment blocks in Aberdeen seemed to tower over my small Junk Boat. I felt so small with all these huge buildings standing tall."

Colourful Passenger Vessel

"I took a ferry from Kowloon to Lamma Island for dinner one night. Along the way, I glanced out the window to notice this particularly colourful ferry."

From the Rainbow Seafood Restaurant,Lamma Island.

"After a delicious seafood banquet that included crab, scallops, fish, prawns and vegetables at the Rainbow Seafood Restaurant, I looked out to the water and I was struck by the calmness. There wasn't even a ripple. From Lamma Island I headed back to Kowloon on the same boat, where I went shopping on Canton Road - the perfect end to a great day."

The View From Victoria Peak

"We took the tram up to the Peak, which is a really steep incline - it was crazy. Hong Kong Island is in front of us, with Kowloon in the background and the harbour in between. We wandered around the top and enjoyed the ambiance; there's a beautiful restaurant up there that I when I return to Hong Kong, I'll definitely eat at."
