6 November 2017
Read Time: 2.5 mins

Bali - the mecca for cheap sarongs and barely there Bintang singlets actually hosts a whole lot more than just cheap jewellery and questionable wooden souvenirs.

Wander along streets like Jalan Raya and l. Oberoi. Jl. Petitenget in Seminyak and you will be met with sophisticated stores spilling with everything from the latest bikinis every Instagram model is wearing through to the chicest woven baskets and handcrafted homewares.

Come with an empty suitcase and be prepared to pay for excess baggage as you discover Bali’s best shopping….

Where to find the most on-trend Fashion:

Drifter

Oberoi #50 JL Kayu Aya, Seminyak

For surf and swimwear that isn’t your typical surf brand picked up at the mall. Think trendy boutique labels like Zulu & Zephyr or One Teaspoon.

Wanderlust

78 Oberoi, Seminyak, 63 Basangkasa, Seminyak and 77 Batu Bolong, Canggu

Scroll through Instagram and you will be sure to come across a model wearing one of Wanderlust’s latest styles. Don’t wait until you get home to nab one online though because you can’t find these swimsuits anywhere but the brand’s three Bali brick and mortar stores.

Bali Boat Shed

Jl. Kayu Aya

Located in the heart of Seminyak’s main shopping street, Bali Boat Shed’s colorful exterior and quirky interior has become an iconic shopping spot for locals, stocking a mix of international and local brands.

Auguste The Label

The Bali outpost of this Byron Bay local is perfect for picking up a dress you can wear from the beach to the bar, just add some lipstick and you’re good to go.

This upmarket brand features plenty of light silk in a collection of elegant maxi dresses, cocktail dresses and cute shoestrip tops perfect for humid Bali nights.

Deus Ex Machina

Jl. Batu Mejan No.8, Canggu

If you come to Bali and don’t leave with a Deus Ex Machina hat or t-shirt, did you even come to Bali? Or maybe you did but weren’t in the know? This is the store/restaurant that all of the creative-Aussie-expat-turned-locals eat, drink and shop at.

The Bali Tailor

Jalan Beraban, no. 67 Seminyak

With over 10 years experience working in Bali’s bespoke tailoring business, specialising in leather work, The Bali Tailor is every expat and tourist in the know’s first stop in Bali.
