Starting today, November 1, Velocity Platinum and Gold members and passengers flying in Business Class from Australia to Denpasar, Los Angeles and Pacific Island destinations may see changes in their lounge access.
After conducting a review of the lounge customer experience, Virgin Australia made the decision to revamp its network of lounge service providers for flights departing from Brisbane International, Melbourne International and Sydney International. This means passengers will now have access to improved lounge services in the above mentioned airports.
These changes are valid for Virgin Australia-operated flights only. All other lounge offerings, where available, will remain the same for codeshare flights (with a VA code) operated by Air New Zealand, Etihad Airways and Singapore Airlines. For codeshare flights operated by Delta Air Lines and hawaiian Airlines (from Sydney only), Velocity Gold and Platinum members and Business Class passengers will now be using the SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge.
