Stay close to Mermaid Beach
Mermaid Waters is an upscale suburban area with a series of canals and waterways lined with prestigious homes. It is also home to a stretch of soft sand known as Mermaid Beach. Calling to those that thrive along the ocean front, this area is perfect for splashing, swimming and generally lazing about on the beach.
Finding accommodation close to the water is a breeze with the majority of the city's hotels located near the shore. Since Broadbeach neighbours with Mermaid Waters, it's easy to bunk up in either and spend days skipping between each. The majority of travellers to Mermaid Waters focus on the waterfront, but there is plenty to see further inland. With destinations such as Mount Tambourine and Springbrook National Park providing excellent destinations for a day trip, it's certainly worth exploring the Gold Coast hinterlands.
Stay along the beach and drive inland for access to both the beach and the hinterlands.
