What's blue and yellow and red all over? Straight out of your kids' dreams to Winter Haven Florida, the new LEGOLAND Hotel is part accommodation and part giant toybox.
From brick-shaped pool floaties to a kid-height buffet, the hotel is a sensory overload and a fierce contender for the most family-friendly holiday dwelling EVER.
Needless to say, the 152-room hotel is built for youngsters. Room themes take their cues from LEGO kits (Pirate, Kingdom, Adventure, LEGO friends), with Premium Rooms offering model sets for additional interior decorating.
If DIY decor isn't enough, in-room scavenger hunts (available across Standard, Premium and VIP rooms) reward treasure-seekers with a chest full of, you guessed it, more plasticy goodness!
While the hotel takes 'kid-friendly' to the extreme, adults still fit into the picture. Each room features two sleeping areas: a king-sized bedroom for parents and a separate kids-only abode. Premium Rooms and VIP Suites offer even more space to play (with LEGO, of course).
Opened last month, Florida's LEGOLAND Hotel is the second of its kind in the United States (California opened in 2013) and is just a brick's throw from the LEGOLAND Resort theme park, which opened back in 2011.
The 60-hectare park is the largest of all six LEGOLAND parks, the others residing in LEGO's birthplace of Denmark, as well as London, Germany, Malaysia and California.
Guests who stay at the LEGOLAND Hotel receive early admission to the park, which is geared towards kids aged two to 12. Buffet breakfast is also included at the colourful on-site Bricks Restaurant, as well as a gamut of entertainment offerings hosted every evening.
Adults looking for a little reprieve can find sanctuary at the Skyline Lounge, while little creators can hone their skills with a complimentary Master Model Builder session. They can then put that newly acquired expertise to use with a nightly LEGO building competition.
Just remember to keep your shoes on. Nobody wants to stroll around barefoot at a hotel made of LEGO...
