Which Epic Date From The Bachelor Would You Choose?

24 September 2015
Read Time: 2.5 mins

The lady in red aka Bachelorette Samantha Frost may have set our screens on fire last night, but we're still riding on the high from Bachelor Sam Wood finding true love with our favourite Mediterranean dish, Snezana 'Parmigiana' Markoski.

The bar has been set pretty high for our Lady Bach dates with her suite of suitors. Who could forget the infamous bubble football game, where Sandra showed her true colours? Or the Harbour Bridge climb, where Nina stopped complaining long enough to break a Guinness World Record? And what about Sam and Snez floating on air above the Hunter Valley vineyards like a couple of lovebirds? Bless.

Destination New South Wales have pulled together a list of experiences for you to recreate your favourite Bachelor dates IRL - long stemmed red roses and Osher Günsberg not included. More like Destination Romance, amiright?

Hot Air Ballooning in the Hunter Valley

Bachie moment: The makings of true love between Sam and Snez. A time that will be forever known as BL (before Lana).

This date proved extremely effective. Not only did Sam and Snez share their first smooch all the way back in Episode 3, but it also ignited the spark that turned into a fiery romance. The formula is simple: Balloon Aloft ride + sunrise + gourmet food and wine trail = romance.

Indoor Skydiving

Bachie moment: Sam was not blown away by Bec. He seemed to have more physical chemistry with the instructors.

Want to get your honey's heart racing but not too keen on hurling yourself from a moving aircraft? iFly Downunder offer you the chance to have your hair blown out and defy gravity with an indoor skydiving session. It actually looks really fun.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb

Bachie moment: Sam snogged and subsequently avoided Nina, breaking a world record in the process.

Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge truly is a fantastic experience. You too can pucker up and steal a kiss high above Sydney Harbour, but know this: the longest televised kiss is a lip-smacking five minutes and 15 seconds, set by Bachelor evictee Sandra and some smarmy radio dude.

Romantic Harbour Cruise + Private Lunch

Bachie moment: Sam whisked Snez away on a speedboat, then they made pizza with too many toppings.

Getting out on the water is the quintessential Sydney date. Remember the sauve captain who chartered Sam and Snez to a private bay for lunch? Good times. To go a little OTT in classic Bach Wood style, ask the ice cream wizards at Gelato Messina to create a custom dessert that is as sweet as your sweetheart. Nawh.

Parasailing in Manly

Bachie moment: Sam and Lana stare into each other's eyes for about three days.

It was an instant attraction between Sam and intruder/game-changer Lana. We quickly learned Sam was afraid of heights, that Lana lived in Mexico, and that the smiley-face Manly Parasail is as adorable as our homegirl Heather.

Bubble Football

Bachie moment: Six girls donned the green and gold and ran into each other while Sandra yelled a lot.

The group date at The Football Factory was a highlight from the entire Series 3. The girls suited-up in giant bubbles and attempted to score goals to thusly score some quality time with Sam. Friends, spouses, co-workers – everyone should get in the bubble.

Indoor Go Karting

Bachie moment: Emily made it clear she was in it to win it. She may have forgotten Sam was even there.

Put your significant other behind the wheel of a go kart at the Luddenham Raceway and you may never look at them the same again. The girls unleashed their inner speed-demons and slowpokes on the track, but it was Snez who took home the trophy in the end.

Extreme Jet Boating at Sydney Heads

Bachie moment: Three girls enjoyed the notorious 'Groundhog Date' until they realised they were on a reality television show.

The Groundhog Date had its ups and downs, from changing a car tyre to dealing with a handsy waitress, but everyone seemed to get a kick out of the extreme Thunder Jet Boat adventure on Sydney Harbour. Life is more entertaining in the splash zone.
