Whimsy, personality and comfort clash in all the right ways at Brisbane’s newest boutique hotel – TRYP Fortitude Valley. Ultra-hip hotel group TRYP by Wyndham has selected the bohemian entertainment hub for its latest installment. Ushering in a new era of boutique accommodation with its 'Own the City' philosophy, TRYP’s flagship Australian property joins more than 90 cosmopolitan incarnations around the world.

Offering much more than just high-quality hotel rooms, TRYP’s ethos is centred on making guests feel like they 'own the city' by providing world-class service and local insights about the best places to eat, drink and explore.

TRYP's team is incredibly passionate about the city, and will ensure guests leave equally enamoured. “All of our staff are on the pulse of what’s happening in Brisbane,” says Reservations Manager, Kim Moon.

TRYP is also making waves on social media, with a Pinterest page full of recommendations on things to see and do in Brisbane. Further to their commitment to the city, the hotel has teamed up with local, globally successful fashion house Black Milk as their women’s uniform supplier.

TRYP Brings A Street-Art Edge To Brisbane

Within an easy commute of the city centre and a short jaunt to the Valley's mega clubs, bars, Chinatown, and exclusive shopping precinct James Street, TRYP’s location really can’t be beat.

The Constance Street address was once the clubhouse of the mysterious Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes society. Following its disbandment, the space became an urban canvas for local graffiti artists.

TRYP, as Brisbane’s first art hotel, has maintained the unique character of the site, preserving and celebrating some of the clubhouse relics, original features and graffiti for an edgy vibe, coupled with bold decor and sleek finishes.

“I think our most unique feature has been our ability to stay true to the integrity of the building and its history represented through our overall design and street-art feel,” says Sales and Marketing Executive, Jessica Wulf.

A Feast For The Senses: What To Expect

It’s hard to miss the hotel’s eye-catching exterior. Street artist Finton Magee was commissioned to make his mark on the facade, offering passersby a preview of the masterpieces that await inside.

Like Magee, acclaimed artists Numskull, Rone and Beastman were all "let loose" in the building to personalise each floor and reinvent their original pieces.

From the signature artworks to ‘Veuve’ yellow room doors (Veuve Cliquot is the hotel’s first pour champagne), five room types unveil surprises and spoils that will gratify even the most jaded world traveller.

 Custom graffiti-tagged hand basins

A "wow" is certain to escape your lips as you step into your blue LED illuminated overnight abode. Flick on the light switch and you’ll find all the mod-cons expected of a 4.5-star hotel, along with a Vittoria pod coffee machine and frosted glass bathroom complete with custom graffiti-tagged basin.

You may not be able to enjoy any city views from the comfort of your bed, but TRYP still has plenty of tricks up its sleeve. Among its 65 guest rooms, there’s a selection of king rooms that feature private courtyards adorned in artwork, and those enjoying the fire of a romantic weekend away can amp up the romance with a glass of bubbly in a private internal or outdoor spa.

Corporate guests can take full advantage of the first-floor library-cum-meeting room, plus a fitness room to appease any fitness junkies. Even elevator rides prove to be an experience – the glass enclosure reveals a lift shaft plastered with street art.

Brisbane's hottest new rooftop bar, UP On Constance

Adding Another Notch In Foodie's Belts

It may be close to all the hottest new dining venues and bars, but you don’t need to venture too far from the hotel for a bite. TRYP has teamed up with award-winning chef Warren Turbull and his team to deliver Chur Burger and UP on Constance. Chur Burger draws inspiration from its Sydney counterparts with a funky 'Valley' twist, and serves up tasty, affordable nosh.

However, the jewel in the hotel’s crown is the resplendent rooftop bar, UP on Constance. Slightly removed from the urban vibe of the rest of the hotel, UP on Constance is effortlessly chic and offers the perfect spot for a cheeky sundowner or special event.

You’ll be elevated to new heights of sophistication with stunning city views, contemporary finishes and an extensive cocktail and bar food menu.
