Travel Alert: Fiji Cyclone Affects Flights

Tropical Cyclone Keni is expected to make landfall in Fiji today as it intensifies on approach to the coastline. Gale-force gust warning have been issued for the main island of Viti Levu as well as for the Kadavu and Southern Lau island groups. Heavy rain is also affecting parts of western Fiji.

Flights to and from Fiji are delayed or cancelled today:

  • Fiji Airways (FJ) has advised that all domestic flights have been cancelled as well as all international flights out of Nadi. Flights FJ916, FJ914 and FJ910 from Sydney to Nadi have been cancelled today. Flights FJ920 (ex Brisbane) and FJ930 (ex Melbourne) to Nadi have also been cancelled.
  • Virgin Australia (VA) and Air New Zealand (NZ) passengers to Fiji are advised to check the status of flights to and from Nadi via the airlines' respective websites.
