Flight Centre's guest blogger Mel Travelled is back this week to share her inside information and advice from her third week in Bali. Jimbaran Bay, Nammos and Pura Uluwatu are all on the agenda.

JIMBARAN BAY

Make the time to stop by Jimbaran Bay which is not far from the tourist area of Kuta. Here you will find unbeatable seafood, and a spectacular sunset. Considering the popularity of the location I didn't feel overcrowded. The logistics work well and there are ample restaurants (Warongs) and seating to accommodate everyone.

My favourite part was kicking off my shoes and sinking my teeth into some delicious prawns - which you can choose from the tanks yourself. Yummo!

NAMMOS

Next stop tipped off by a local was Nammos.

W O W!

Nammos is a private beach club accessed via the luxury resort of Karma Kandara. For a small entry fee and a ride down the cliff on an  inclinator you will get access to the club. I highly recommend spending  your day at Nammos enjoying the snorkels, kayaks, towels and sun lounges provided.  You will enjoy a laid back ambience with music playing in the background, woodfired pizza, cocktails and waiter service on the beach... the only problem you will have is trying to make yourself leave.

TIP- If you want to (and I suggest you do) visit Karma Kandara Resorts Nammos Beach Club, be sure to tell your driver “Nammos Beach Club entrance” as it can save you some hassles... trust me!

ULUWATU

Uluwatu is only about a fifteen minute drive from Nammos. Pura Uluwatu (Pura means temple) is great way to spend the evening after Nammos. Arrive at sunset and between 6-7pm you will be sure to see the daily traditional Kecak (monkey dance). You will need to pay a temple entrance fee and don't forget to cover up with your sarong.

Uluwatu is full of a variety of accommodation types and is thriving with surfers of all ages from around the world. Considering my inability to stay vertical long enough to call it surfing, I gave in to being a spectator.

Due to tourist demand (yep that is us), there has been an increase in the number of luxury villas and resorts due to the serene cliff top location of beautiful Ulus. Fortunately, the atmosphere still remains unspoilt. If you are after nightlife however, you will need to head back to Kuta as around here you will have to settle for a quiet Bintang on the beach... and I am more than happy with that.
