I scream, you scream...you get the point right?
New York’s Museum of Ice-Cream (MOIC) is all of your childhood dreams come true, housed in the trendy Meatpacking District for only a month starting July 29. Described as a "lick-able, likeable, shareable ice cream-centric experience,” the exhibition will feature a number of interactive areas including an ice cream sandwich swing and a 10,279-litre sprinkle pool that yes, you can in fact swim in (though the sprinkles thankfully aren’t real).

Already the museum is stacking up to be one of New York’s most buzz-worthy pop-up exhibitions of the year and it hasn’t even opened yet. Eater, Vogue, Fast Company, TIME and a host of publications are already raving about the installation yet no one has been able to catch a glimpse of the delicious installations inside.
The brains behind the exhibit, Maryellis Bun and Manish Vora came up with the concept a year ago expanding on one of Bunn’s childhood fantasies and a lack of ice cream appreciation.
"Through several iterations and constant searching throughout the world, I couldn’t find anything. I decided to go ahead and build it myself."
London-based ice cream sculptor Anna Barlow and a dozen artists from Brooklyn gallery Apostrophe NYC's Base 12 pop-up helped bring the installations to life. Other attractions include an “immersive chocolate room”, an ice cream scooper seesaw and one-of-a-kind ice cream testing with a ‘food futurist’ Dr. Irwin Adam, founder of Future Food Studio.

The cherry on top has to be the partnership struck with mobile dating app, Tinder who have created a custom favourite flavour app in ‘Tinder land’. Telling people that you met on Tinder won’t be so cringe when you can say that you fell for one another on the ice cream sandwich swing.
Single Scoop solo tickets are $18, and the Double Scoop couple package is $30. Ticket prices include a Scoop of the Week and studio custom tasting.
The museum will run from July 29 through August 31, and will be open Mon 11am–9pm, Wed–Sat 11am–9pm, Sun 11am–8pm.
