Los Angeles’ Must-Not-Miss Trendy Hotel Restaurants

Where does one begin when tackling the Los Angeles dining scene?

First you have the incredible little authentic Mexican spots and then there’s the city’s access to fresh seafood supported by an impassioned local farm-to-table culinary movement. There really is so much inventive and fresh cuisine to try on holiday in LA.

However, if you don’t have much time in the city or are looking to treat yourself on holiday, you can’t go past the delicious offerings served up in eclectic and fanciful surrounds at some of the city’s best hotels. LA’s hotels play host to some of the best restaurants on the West Coast so you’d be foolish to pass up trying at least one.

Here are our top 9 picks:

LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting Five Leaves, the Brooklyn cafe with Aussie roots, you’ll know that LA Chapter has a very similar vibe. For anyone who hasn’t, think super-cool hipster hangout (in arguably the most chill hotel in town) with delish, farm-to-table, brasserie-style food from chef Micah Fields, previously of The Standard’s Downtown outpost.

Bright as the sun. Warm as the heart.

POT at The Line Hotel

Massive, family-style feeds of authentic Korean in the contemporary surrounds of The Line Hotel. If you’re a fan of dumplings, this is your place.

Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel

With Sunset Tower Hotel’s chic Art Deco interior, combined with French-American food and a jazz piano, it’s no wonder this old-school celeb hangout is the place to see and be seen.

The Bazaar by Jose Andres at the SLS

By our books, chef Jose Andres can do no wrong and has certainly come through with a fabulous concept in the SLS’ The Bazaar.

WP24 by Wolfgang Puck at the Ritz-Carlton

Way up in the clouds of LA is one of chef Wolfgang Puck’s several delectable eateries. Deciding to go with just one of his hotel restaurants was a tough call but if you’re going to go with one, why not serve it up with a killer sky-high view?

FIG at the Fairmont Santa Monica

The turquoise pool view from this splendid restaurant will really get you in the holiday mood. Organic produce and locally sourced ingredients make this place a must if you’re in Santa Monica.

25° at the Hollywood Roosevelt

Four words: Burgers and boozy shakes. Fin.

Public Kitchen and Bar at the Hollywood Roosevelt

This gastropub inside the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel serves up American fare and craft cocktails from the genius of chef Tim Goodell.

Cast at the Viceroy Santa Monica

The stunning outdoor setting of this Santa Monica boutique hotel is something to be seen, with its pristine white bungalows, perfect for an afternoon cocktail or long lunch.
