In a playful, quintessentially British riff on the food truck, a pizza maker has turned one of London’s iconic, red double-decker buses into a mobile pizzeria, complete with wood-fired oven.
Londoners and visitors alike looking to put the brakes on their standard pizza night out can park themselves on The Crust Conductor, a double-decker bus that serves freshly baked pizzas from a makeshift kitchen on the lower deck.
Guests slide themselves into booths set up on the upper level and tuck into thin-crust pizzas like the ‘Retired Gangsta’ made with fresh mozzarella, char-grilled peppers, sun-blush tomatoes and fresh basil and the 'Spanish Archer' made with mozzarella, chorizo, peppers and garlic, for £8 (about $16 AUD).
A live in-house DJ spins tunes from the bus’s cocktail bar.

Londoners are spoilt for choice when it comes to unusual and eyebrow-raising eating venues. As well as a double-decker pizzeria, locals and visitors alike can also hit up former toilets and lavs turned bars and cafes such as The Attendant, The Convenience and Cellar Door.
The Crust Conductor has set up residency at The Brick Brewery next to the Peckham Rye railway station until April. It is open Friday 5pm-9pm and Saturday 12:30pm-9pm.
