A Ridgy Didge Aussie Outback Road Trip Playlist

As I take a sip from my craft brewed Maccas flat white to wash down the last bite of a crispy golden hash brown (unfortunately no this story is not sponsored by the golden arches), I look out at the lush rolling hills of Western Victoria unfolding in front of my mate’s Holden Commodore Ute (he’s driving and can you tell I'm really channelling the all Aussie look right now) and think to myself, you know what this road trip needs? A ridgey didge Aussie playlist.

I’d like to say this is when I put on my thinking cap but really the Akubra I picked up on my last road trip is already perched neatly on my noggin, ready for another road trip adventure.

Here I am at the start of the Oodnadatta Track just outside of Marla - with said Akubra ;) Here I am at the start of the Oodnadatta Track just outside of Marla - with said Akubra ;)

So if like me you’ve drawn out your itinerary on a map or have just hit the road and are waiting to see where it takes you, either way you’re gonna need a you beaut Aussie playlist in order to properly bask in the glory of the outback road trip as it unfolds in front of you.

Sure you could just switch on to Triple J like you would cruising through the city, but guess what, there’s not a whole lot of reception in the outback and your iPhone isn’t the only thing that needs to tap into those sweet FM waves.

That means before you head off you’ll need to download these songs from wherever you get your tunes, I’d recommend either Apple Music or Spotify which you can download playlists from to listen to offline  which is pretty cheap especially when you’re a student which I think works out to about six bucks a month.

Anyway, wrap your listeners around this ridgey didge playlist...
