Boasting a themed restaurant serving a selection of Australian meals and a licenced on-board lounge designed to encourage interaction with fellow rail guests, the Spirit of the Outback veers inland from the coastal city of Rockhampton to take in the historic towns of Blackwater, Emerald and Barcaldine before reaching its final destination, Longreach.
Classes of Travel
First Class
First Class options aboard the Spirit of the Outback include single or twin-berth cabins. Single berth cabin features include a washbasin and mirror, small wardrobe and reading light, as well as full bedding amenities. Twin berth cabins feature a pair of bunk beds which may be sold individually or to small groups. The cabins feature two wardrobes and a full-length mirror, a table and washbasin with mirror. Twin berths also feature a reading light and full bedding amenities.
Economy Class
Economy Class options include both sleeper seats and cabins. Economy class seats are a feature of open saloon cars and include individual reading lights. Sleeping berth cabins include a table and washbasin with mirror, as well as a reading light and bedding amenities. Sleeping berths can be purchased individually or as entire cabin to family groups or parties.
