Public Transport
Christchurch International Airport is well served by public buses, with three routes connecting the airport to the city centre and beyond. All buses arrive and depart from the regional transport hub at the northern end of the International Arrivals Hall.
Car Hire
Car Hire desks can be found inside the terminal building. Companies include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Thrifty, Backpacker Campervans, Britz, Explore More and Maui. You can book your car online to guarantee availability.
Check-in
Check-in counters are located near the terminal entrance.
Money Exchange
The international terminal has five Travelex stores offering money exchange, Cash Passports, phone cards and electronic money transfer. Pre-purchase New Zealand dollers in the form of cash from Travel Money OZ.

Business facilities are available in the airline lounges, for eligible passengers.
Internet Access
Internet kiosks are available within the check-in, departures and arrivals halls in the terminal. Wi-fi access is also available and is free for the first 30 minutes.

Baggage
Trolleys are available throughout the airport at no cost. Baggage storage, wrapping and freight services are also available. Items that have been lost and found within the terminal building are stored at the Travel and Tourism Centre.
Showers
Public shower facilities are located in the male and female washrooms in the international arrivals hall. They are free of charge and towels may be hired from the Travel and Tourism Centre. Complimentary soap is provided with towel hire. Showers are also available in the airline lounges, for eligible passengers.
Airport Lounges
The independently operated Manaia Lounge is located on level 1, left of Gate 26. The lounge is open from 11:30am to last departure and is available to eligible Qantas and Emirates passengers. Facilities include dining options, tea, cofee and beverages, showers, internet access and reading material.

Air New Zealand - The Koru lounge is located after security in the international departures area. The lounge opens at 5:00am and remains open until the last flight departs. Lounge facilities include light refreshments and bar facilities, barista coffee (limited hours), reading material and TV, gaming consoles, business facilities and showers. The Air New Zealand lounge is available to eligible passengers with Koru membership.
