Stay on the beach

Those chasing quality waves and beautiful beaches should look no further than Manly. Just outside of Sydney, this small coastal town is known for some of the best aforementioned assets in Australia. Embracing its natural highlights, it also offers a sweep of quality hotels along the coast.

The manly Paradise Motel & Apartments is a lower cost alternative, while the Manly Guest House and Manly Bunkhouse offer hostel accommodation on the beach.

Relax in the city

Away from the water, Manly doesn't disappoint. Oceanworld Manly provides a look under the water's surface, while the Manly Art Gallery and Museum provides a little insight into the city's history. There is also plenty of accommodation at the heart of the city that offers easy access to all land based gems while maintaining easy access to the waterfront.

The Quest Manly is a reliable 4-star option close to many of the city's attractions and within walking distance to popular Manly Beach. For a departure from the typical hotel experience, Manly also offers a number of quaint B&Bs. This includes the Manly Harbour Loft B&B and Cecil Street B&B.

The Northern Beaches

Manly is often considered to be a gateway to the pristine Northern Beaches, which means exploration beyond the city's limits is well worth considering. There is a seemingly endless supply of beautiful beaches to explore for swimming and surfing, including Narrabeen Beach, Collaroy Beach and Avalon Beach.

As far as accommodation goes through the Northern Beaches, a stay in Manly presents the most variety. Though, you can find quality accommodation closer to some of the other beaches should you want to extend your stay to an overnight visit. Quality Hotel Sands Narrabeen provides 4-star service close to the water, or the Sydney Beachouse YHA offers up clean hostel accommodation close to Collaroy Beach.
