Five miles of pristine beach
Despite rapid growth, Hua Hin has yet to reach the international popularity level of Phuket and Bangkok, welcoming more locals than tourists. This means the beach has avoided becoming overwhelmed by excessive tourist attractions and continues to maintain its natural appeal. There are still beach activities available and the cool water alone is worth wading into.
A beachfront resort or hotel in Hua Hin is quite different to most other places in Thailand, giving you central accommodation that feels slightly separated from society. Luxury and convenience is ripe within the InterContinental, Hilton, Marriott, Haven, Centara Grand and Majestic beachfront resorts.
Hua Hin’s cultural centre
As one of the oldest and least westernised areas of Thailand, Hua Hin boasts a rich culture that has been washed out of other areas in the country. On the city streets is an old-world charm complete with art and craft stalls, food vendors and traditional Thai buildings including the Klai Kangwon Palace.
The Anantara Resort houses you in a traditional Thai village with the addition of modern facilities, while the Baan Manthana keeps you pampered and a short stroll from the city sights. Other central hotels such as the Rest Detail, Putahracsa and Hyatt Regency have all the island pleasures with the addition of a convenient location.
Inland with the mountain
Those who stay further inland away from the beach are greeted with privacy and beautiful nature including the Khao Hin Lek Fei, a mountain with lush park areas and great views of the surrounding area. Hotels inland are known for having a rustic and traditional appeal, as well as bringing added luxury to compensate for being away from the more popular beach area.
You can find peace and picturesque scenery at the Jaidee Resort, AKA Resort and Amari Hua Hin, while enjoying the plush facilities and impeccable service. Not many other places in the country offer the same old Thai flavour while keeping you close enough to the action.
