Adventure in the city centre
Guangzhou’s city centre is broken up into three distinct areas: Yeuxiu, Liwan and Tianhe. Staying in any of these three areas plants you right in the middle of the exciting events and experiences that the city has to offer. There are also multiple bars and restaurants around town that incorporate the various styles of countries all around the globe.
The 5-star China Hotel (Marriott) in Yeuxiu, the Jian Sheng Hotel in Liwan and the Ramada Pearl Hotel in Tianhe are just a few of the luxurious hotels available. Regardless of where you stay, you can find all kinds of adventure outside the front door.
In the shadow of Canton Tower
Just south of the Pearl River is the residential and business district of Haizhu, home to the second-tallest tower in China, the Canton Tower. A university campus is also in this area, so there are quite a few lively bars and restaurants scattered around.
Despite its size, the Canton Tower only makes up a small portion of the southern skyline, which is filled by majestic hotels with picture-perfect river views. Stay at the Regal Riviera Hotel, next to the Canton Tower, to experience unrivalled luxury and facilities such as an indoor pool, massage rooms, basketball courts and spacious guest rooms.
Guangzhou on a budget
As the third-largest city in China, Guangzhou offers a wide range of hotels that suit the need of every traveller, especially those seeking budget-friendly accommodation. After saving money on accommodation, you can spend more on nights out, attractions and fun activities such as the Guangzhou Museum, river cruises and the Chimelong Water Park.
For quality budget accommodation, stay at the Lido Hotel, Hotel Canton and the Guangzhou Hotel, which are all located close to or within the city centre. If you’re seeking a lively environment, try the Binghua Hotel, which has an Irish pub on its ground floor.
