Culture on the Main

The Main River, which flows through the city of Frankfurt, isn’t just a source of picturesque beauty; it’s also a site of German culture. On both sides of the Main is the Museumsufer, an extensive collection of museums housed in architecturally-significant buildings. Along with the museums is an array of traditional and international restaurants and bars.

Positioned right on the Main is the InterContinental, which has traditional German rooms and views you’ll miss for weeks after leaving. On the other side of the water stands the Linder Hotel and Residence, where you can enjoy 30s New York architecture, luxury rooms and generous facilities.

Close to the airport

The Frankfurt Airport is a major airport in not only Germany, but also Europe. If you have a stopover in Frankfurt, there are plenty of high-quality hotels close by that are perfect for spending a night or more near the historic city, before jetting off again. Comfortable bedding and modern facilities ensure you wake up well-rested and ready for the next leg of your journey.

The Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel is located right outside the arrival gates. Free Wi-Fi lets you check in with everyone back home, and the lounge and spa facilities get you back to tip-top shape.

Quaint German atmosphere around Romerburg

Modern high-rise buildings can be found all around Frankfurt, but in the small square of Romerburg you can see a collection of restored timber-framed buildings that speak of the city’s past. This romantic area is full of beautiful architecture, street performers, traditional cafes and restaurants, and small shops.

Stay near the historic atmosphere of Romerburg at the Hotel am Dom, Hotel Miramar or the Hotel Neue Krame. You can choose from modern furnishings, facilities and restaurants in the hotels, or take the short walk to Romerburg for a trip into the wonderful past.
