Specialising in adventure, if you’re considering a Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal; walking the wondrous Inca Trail in Peru; taking a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see the icebergs of Antarctica; reaching the exhilarating heights of Mt Kilimanjaro, or journeying the historic Kokoda Track, you need to give World Expeditions a call.
Think outside the box in Europe and explore the ancient wonders of Turkey with a trek through the unique rock formations of Cappadocia. Or cycle along the Danube from Germany through Austria, Slovakia and Hungary taking in stunning Baroque castles, charming villages and vineyards along the way.
Not just another trip
World Expeditions is dedicated to making the world a better place, offering a ‘voluntourism’ program where everyday travellers can give a little back by volunteering time and skills in places where aid is needed. Offering projects in many different regions, you can lend a helping hand in Vietnam, Tanzania, Nepal, Peru or Australia.
Spend some time helping renovate a school in Vietnam or help clean up the beaches along Australia’s south west coast – did you know 18,000 pieces of plastic are estimated to float in every square kilometre of ocean? World Expeditions provides a chance to see the world and earn some good karma along the way.

In 2010 with the help of World Expeditions we put together a 4 week trip to Borneo, which included the ascent of Kinabalu, trekking the headhunters trail and shooting rapids in a longboat.
However one of the highlights was the Rejang River Tour. The combination of the superbly opulent teak and brass appointments of the boat together with food and service of the highest quality and the exposure to the real Borneo was really remarkable.
Our ship’s guide, Louis Jap, through daily excursions into the hinterland, introduced us to the history and tribal culture of this part of Borneo. We trekked in the jungle. We visited longhouses, participated in a wonderful village Muslim wedding, where we appeared to blend in seamlessly with the rest of the guests. We transferred to smaller boats to sail small tributaries to see the early morning wildlife. We visited a remote jungle boarding school and medical centre, and had regular evening entertainment from local school children and dancers as we moored up for the night.
The ships crew welcomed us back to the boat after each excursion with hot towels and drinks – and took our footwear to clean before we could soil the deck. When we were cruising we could just relax with our 20 fellow passengers and have all our needs attended to.
This is only a taste of a trip, which certainly exceeded our expectations by a country mile!!

Thank you for this fantastic experience! India was an experience I am sure none of us will forget. The vitality, the colours, the food, the children and the most amazing sunsets. But most of all we will never forget the friendliness of the World Expeditions staff and their efforts in making sure we all had a wonderful time on our Trek.
We are all keen to travel with World Expeditions again sometime soon.

Just wanted to let you know we had a fantastic trip and it all worked out great. Our guide was absolutely invaluable and could not recommend him highly enough. He had a great talent for helping quietly and making sure everyone is right without making a big deal. He certainly had our respect as a leader and advisor but was also just a pleasure to travel with and getting to know him a delight. He is by far the best guide we have ever had and in the future we would actually look for trips that he was leading as we had that much respect for his quiet but competent ways.

Overall, it was absolutely fantastic! Javier, our guide, was phenomenal and truly gave a whole new life to the trip. Having previously worked for an outdoors company, I know how much organization and logistical planning goes into each trip, and Javier executed everything perfectly. He knew the terrain, knew the country, was obviously extremely experienced, and had a great attitude towards trekking.
The food in Peru, as well as the entire team (horseman etc) were absolutely fabulous. I looked forward to every single meal!

I just got back from the Nepal trip. We had an amazing time and we could have not asked for a better experience. Our group was brilliant. The staff (porters and Sherpas) were phenomenal, the food was top notch and the views were everything I hoped for and more...I know I will be back there again. The people and places are very close to my heart now.
Thank you for making my dream come true.
