Travelling the Bunnik Way means touring in a small group made up of like-minded people – a maximum of just 20 passengers. People who want to connect with the places and cultures they visit, who share a passion for this incredible planet and its inhabitants.
With this in mind, our itineraries are carefully crafted to capture the very essence of the countries we visit and include a balance between:
- All the famous landmarks that you expect to see on a tour
- Unique local experiences that only small groups can access
- Plenty of time for independent exploration and discovery
We believe there is no better way to create lifelong memories and get to the heart of all that a destination has to offer! This means more time with tour guides, more space on the bus with better views, less time spent waiting and a great opportunity to build lifelong friendships with fellow travellers.

Some of the reasons why smaller is better
Less time waiting
Our small groups mean you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying! Getting on and off the coach, hotel check-ins, comfort stops, meals - with a small group everything is easier and quicker, giving you more time to enjoy your holiday.
More time with your guides
Our very low guest to guide ratio means you'll have more time with our guides. That's more time to ask questions and to take advantage of their wealth of local knowledge.
More space on the coach
Our groups are small but our vehicles are not! This means there are always plenty of empty seats for you to spread out in comfort.
Better views
Full coaches often mean your holiday photos feature the back of people's heads. When the coach isn't full everyone has a better view.
More hotel choice
Big groups can only stay at a big hotel. Small groups can stay at the smaller hotels, with character, closer to the action.
Less time on the coach
Because our hotels are centrally located we can do more sightseeing on foot rather than spending time caught up in city traffic.
Flexibility
Small groups are more flexible, so we can change the itinerary around to suit the local conditions.
Get off the tourist trail
For logistical reasons large groups must stay at large hotels, eat at the large tourist restaurants and stick to the tourist trail. Smaller groups can venture off the beaten tourist track, stay at smaller hotels and visit smaller restaurants and businesses.
Be a responsible tourist
Small groups are low-impact and don't ruin the very place you've come to see. By not being limited to large hotels and restaurants etc we are able to better help the local communities we visit.
More fun
Small groups are more fun and give you a better holiday experience because you get the chance to interact with the whole group, not just a small portion of a full coach.

Great places, amazing buildings, beautiful things and interesting local guides
"We enjoyed exploring all of the cities, each with their maze of interesting cobbled streets, variety of architecture, the colourful gardens. Highlights included being amazed at the opulence and lavish decorations in the palaces, people watching while enjoying local cuisine in the lively town squares, and hearing the personal stories of guides in countries that had experienced a difficult history. Accommodation, guides and transport on tour was all excellent."

Above and beyond our expectations
"We loved that we got to see not only the go-to places of Spain, Morocco & Portugal but those little gems that were off the beaten track is what made this tour! We didn't ever feel like we were being herded (as we saw with larger groups). The knowledge and passion of our guides Cristina (Spain & Portugal) & Aziz (Morocco) was infectious. It was a feast of information and this, coupled with our own free time each day was a perfect blend. It was soo good it wouldn't be fair to highlight any one thing! Our hearts were over-flowing. Thanks Bunnik."

A luxury coach for 16 of us was more than generous
"A good balance of old buildings, wonderful scenery on the Dalmatian coast and the Plitvice lakes and natural beauty in the Postojina caves. Driver, Jakob, was very skilled. Tour leader, Bine, had an amazing knowledge of politics, history, geography and local affairs. His sense of humour and personable nature made him an excellent candidate for the job. The accommodation was comfortable and conveniently situated. Local guides were informative. We all got on extremely well. Happy travellers! A most enjoyable tour. Thank you Bunnik Tours."

Varied itinerary, excellent hotels, small group and great guides
"We had the most amazing time in South America - the Discovery Tour itinerary is brilliant and we had a wonderful time every day! The group was fun and we all got on well. Absolutely loved Ecuador and our guide Carlos was fantastic- such a nice guy, great English and knowledge and he looked after everything from start to finish. We were very impressed with him and the Colourful Ecuador group who also looked after us in Galapagos. We were really delighted to visit Ecuador- recommend it to everyone!! The rest of the trip was also amazing with such varied experiences from the Amazon to the Inca places and Iguassu Falls etc. Loved it all. Our local guides and drivers were all terrific- great language skills, excellent knowledge and we felt very much at home with them all. Highlights - definitely all of Ecuador, the Galapagos extension, the amazon and the Inca country, Iguassu."

A real African adventure
"It was the landscape/climate/game viewing and the little everyday experiences that made this an outstanding rural trip. The food and accommodation was extremely good and we were very well taken care of by an entertaining and competent driver/guide called Charles. Twenty-four days of continuous sunshine ending in the spray of a roaring Victoria Falls. This is our ninth Bunnik tour and I would definitely recommend this adventure to those who want to do something different."
Marilyn (Namibia, Botswana & Victoria Falls)

The guides were wonderful and the sites were amazing...unforgettable
"Very hard to choose a highlight as there were so many. We loved Petra and the Treasury especially the night tour. Magic. We loved the hot air balloon ride over the temples in Egypt. The Nile cruise was lovely. Our guide Mohamad always did his best to get us rooms with a view and he always succeeded. He made our tour special as did Arhmid in Jordan."
