The place to truly drink in the area is from 450 metres atop Bob's Peak, reached by the Skyline Gondola. Depending on what you've sampled at the mountaintop bar and restaurant, you may not want to luge back down the mountain but you've got the option. If you're a ski/snowboard bunny, there are 5 international-standard areas to choose from (season is mid-June–early October) but Queenstown enjoys an apres-ski atmosphere all year. Festival fans will love the Winter Festival (held in June) and Summerdaze (all January).
