Membership/Status
Qantas Frequent Flyer is Australia's largest travel loyalty program. Earn points by using a Qantas affiliated credit card for your everyday purchases, and/or by flying with Qantas, Jetstar, Emirates and oneworld partner airlines.
Qantas offers three levels of membership above the Bronze entry level: Silver, Gold, and Platinum (which includes Platinum One). Each membership level has particular privileges. The higher your membership level, the greater your privileges and the more points you can earn.
Points – Earning & Expiry
You can earn points by using a Qantas linked credit card, shopping with one of Qantas’ many partners or flying with Qantas or a partner airline. Qantas Frequent Flyer gives you a range of ways to redeem your points such as travel, shopping, insurance and gifts cards.
For travel on or from 1 July 2014, the rules about earning Qantas points and status credits when you fly with Qantas and Jetstar Airlines will change. The number of Qantas points and status credits you earn will be based on the fare you pay, where you fly, and the airline you choose rather than just the miles flown.
Redeeming Points
Qantas and Jetstar's 'Any Seat Awards' allow you to use your Qantas Points to book any available seat on a Qantas or Jetstar flight. Any Seat Awards provide choice and flexibility, so you can choose the flight that suits your preferred travel times.
Flight Upgrades are one of the best ways to make the most of your points, although requests may not be confirmed until a few days before (or even on the day) you travel.
The Qantas Store provides the opportunity for you to redeem your points on over 3,000 products and Gift Cards, while Frequent Flyer members also have the choice tof redeeming points at 100,000 hotels and accommodation options worldwide, including 13,000 partner hotels.
Qantas Frequent Flyer points can be redeemed for a Woolworths Gift Card by setting up Auto Rewards. Once set up, every three months you will automatically receive a gift card in the mail, up to the value of $20. At the end of each three-month period, your points balance determines which gift card that you receive.
