Getting to Koh Samui
Cheap flights to Koh Samui and Thailand are approximately 10 hours in duration from Australia. As there are no direct flights from Australia to Koh Samui, a connection must be made through Bangkok.
Airlines from Australia
Koh Samui flights are available on Thai Airways with a connection in Bangkok. Thai Airways flies into Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth as well as Auckland.
Samui International Airport (USM)
Samui International Airport is an open air facility consisting of two terminals, one for domestic and one for international. There are no aero bridges and although this is one of Thailand’s busiest airports it is quite small is size. Ground transportation into the city is readily available and ferries to nearby islands and the mainland are close by.
