Getting to Belfast

Belfast flights from Australia require at least two stops with the first in either Asia or the Middle East and the second in London or Continental Europe. There is also a routing via the U.S. with connecting flights in Los Angeles or San Francisco and Newark. Because of the double connection and great distance, travel time to Belfast can be as much as 24 hours or longer.

Airlines from Australia

United Airlines is the only airline serving both Australia and Belfast. Flights to Belfast on United depart from Sydney or Melbourne with stops in either Los Angeles or San Francisco and Newark. Qantas and Virgin Australia offer flights to Amsterdam, Manchester, Paris and London in conjunction with codeshare partners Emirates and Etihad. From there a change to one of the low fare airlines serving Belfast is required.
