Step aboard a Carnival Legend cruise and you’ll soon realise that this is no arbitrary ship name – Carnival Legend has been fitted out to pay homage to some of the world’s most enduring legends. There’s the Camelot and Avalon pools, the Golden Fleece steakhouse, Medusa’s Lair Dance Club, as well as an enormous painting of Colossus. This fun theme sets the tone for an entertaining holiday, and Carnival Legend comes with Carnival Cruise Lines’ signature hits, such as multiple venues for complimentary dining, the adults-only Serenity Retreat, the incredible Green Thunder waterslide and, being one of ships within Carnival Cruise Lines’ Spirit Class, an impressive 80 percent ratio of outside cabins. With just 2,680 passengers at full capacity, Carnival Legend falls at the more robust end of ‘mid-sized’, giving you room to move without feeling overcrowded. Outdoors they also have mini basketball and jungle gyms to play on, and the SplashZone is perfect for the younger kids. Circle C is a separate area designed for kids aged 12 to 14, and the teens from 15 to 17 have a different place to hang out, on Deck 10.
