Check-in
All airline check-in desks and self-serve kiosks at Hobart International Airport are located in the middle of the passenger terminal. For connections with international flights from Hobart, it’s recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure. For domestic flights, most airlines recommend being at the airport at least an hour before your flight, especially if you have luggage to check in. Once you are at the airport, make sure you have your tickets and luggage ready for handling on arrival, as well as your passport and necessary visas if you are travelling overseas.
Baggage
If departing from Hobart Airport, be aware that each airline has its own luggage restrictions (weight, size and quantity) so you’ll need to check the guidelines with your airline before you fly. Again if you have oversize baggage, you’ll need to contact the airline with which you’re flying.

What lounges are at Hobart Airport?
You’ll find two lounges at Hobart Airport: the Qantas Club and the Saffire Lounge.
Saffire Airport Lounge
Operated by luxury lodge Saffire Freycinet, this lounge is for the exclusive use of guests staying at the upmarket property. The Saffire Airport Lounge offers a VIP service to passengers travelling to and from Saffire Freycinet, which includes baggage collection. Onsite facilities include showers, refreshments, TV, magazines and newspapers. Opening hours are 09:00 to 17:00 daily.
The Qantas Club Lounge
You’ll find the Qantas Club Lounge at Hobart Airport located to the right of the departure lounge and near the Qantas and Jetstar arrivals area of the terminal. Offering refreshments, hot and cold beverages, bar service, free Wi-Fi and internet access, computers and reading material, the lounge facilities are only available to Qantas, Emirates and oneworld alliance passengers flying international First or Business Class as well as domestic Business Class travellers who are flying with Qantas or Emirates on an onward flight. The Qantas Club Lounge is open one hour before each Qantas service until the last departure daily.

Parking at Hobart Airport presents you with three options.
Main Car Park: Just a short walk to the check-in desks and Arrivals area, the Main Car Park is ideal for short-term parking such as when dropping off or picking up passengers.
Valet Parking: The most convenient option is Valet Parking, located within the Main Car Park, directly outside the centre of the terminal. Just drive up and park outside the Valet Office in one of the designated parking bays, and one of the Valet Parking attendants will look after you.
Saver Car Park: Perfect for longer stays, this car park is a great value option and just a short walk to the terminal via an undercover walkway.
Hobart Airport car parks can fill up quickly at peak times like special events and holidays, so if you would prefer to secure a spot, you can always book ahead through the Hobart Airport website.
Taxi
No matter what time your flight arrives into Hobart Airport, you can rest assured there will be taxis available to take you into the city centre. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes cost approximately $45 to $50.
Airport Shuttle
Hobart Airport is serviced by an airport shuttle bus that meets all incoming flights, operated by SkyBus. The SkyBus shuttle departs every 30 minutes daily, 7 days a week, every week of the year. You can buy tickets for the shuttle through the SkyBus website or purchase your tickets at the e-kiosks which are located next to the baggage carousels.
SkyBus does also offer a ‘turn up and go’ service, enabling you to simply purchase a ticket from the driver at any of the pick up stops.
Picking up and dropping off by car
If you’re just dropping off or picking up at Hobart Airport, you’ll be able to make use of the free drop-off and pick-up lane directly outside the terminal building.
