What Facilities Are At Brisbane Domestic Terminal?
Travellers will find a wide range of services and facilities at the Domestic Terminal, with even more to come in the current upgrade.
Check-in
If you’re travelling, Brisbane Airport recommends that you arrive one hour prior to a domestic flight. All airline check-in desks for domestic travel are located on Level 1 of the Domestic Terminal. Gates 1–25, at the northern end of the terminal, are where you’ll find Qantas and Qantaslink check-in counters. In the centre of the terminal you’ll find Jetstar, Tiger Airways, and Corporate Air (Gates 26–32), and at the southern end of the terminal you’ll find Virgin Australia (Gates 38–50).
Baggage
If you’re in any doubt about the weight of your luggage, you can confirm it at Brisbane Domestic Terminal, with scales located near the check-in desks. Given that each airline has its own luggage restrictions (weight, size and quantity) it’s best to check with your airline about what relates to your particular flight.
For convenience, Brisbane Domestic Terminal offers baggage trolleys for hire, for a non-refundable fee of $4. If you’re looking for a trolley, you can find them in the car park, at the pick up and drop off area, and at Baggage Claim on Level 1.
Storing luggage is another option available at Brisbane Domestic Terminal, with self-service luggage lockers that can be used any time, day or night. All you have to do is lock away your belongings, make the relevant payment and retrieve your one-off unique pincode. Lockers at the Domestic Terminal are located outside the Qantas and Virgin Terminal areas, after the first pedestrian crossing, in the covered median strip area.
Is there a currency exchange?
You’ll find currency exchange kiosks at Brisbane Domestic Airport, or you can pre-purchase foreign currency, traveller cheques and more at Travel Money Oz.

What's the best way to get to and from Brisbane Airport?
There are a variety of options when it comes to travelling to and from Brisbane Domestic Terminal.
Taxi: Taxis are available from the Domestic Terminal 24/7, with the taxi rank centrally located right out the front of the terminal building. A one-way fare from the airport to Brisbane City can be between $45 and $55, depending on traffic conditions and the time of day
Uber and rideshare: From Brisbane Domestic Terminal, Uber or other rideshare services pick up from the central road between taxi pick up and passenger pick up and drop off, either side of the Skywalk. Once you depart the terminal, you’ll need to make your way across two crossings to get there.
Airtrain: One of the fastest and easiest ways to travel to and from Brisbane Airport is via the Airtrain. The fare is around $18 from Brisbane Airport to Central Station in the city (and vice versa), and takes roughly 20 minutes. During peak times, services run every 15 minutes, and every 30 minutes in off-peak periods. Airtrain also connects into the Queensland Rail suburban network, and can take you express to the Gold Coast. To find the Airtrain station within the Domestic Terminal, head out to the front of the building and take the Skywalk across to the station.
Door-to-door transfer: If you’d rather get to and from the airport via a more traditional style of airport transfer, Con-X-ion shuttle bus transfer service can take you to and from a large number of locations around Brisbane, the Gold coast and the Sunshine Coast.
Car rental: You’ll find most of the big car rental companies at Brisbane Airport, such as Avis, Budget, Europcar and Thrifty. To hire a car, simply ask your Flight Centre Travel Expert to arrange it for you. At the Domestic Terminal, the car rental booths are located on Level 1, near baggage claim at both the Qantas and Virgin ends of the Terminal.
Brisbane Airport parking: Both short term and long term parking is available at Brisbane Domestic airport. ParkPremium is the closest self-parking option, quickly and easily accessible from the Terminal via the skywalk. The airport also offers valet parking, with all parking bookable in advance, online. Generally, there’s a discount for booking ahead. If you have a large vehicle, note that the undercover car park height at the Domestic P1 is 2.25 metres and Domestic P2 is 2.4 metres.
AIRPARK: Brisbane Airport parking also offers the AIRPARK facility – a stand-alone car park located onsite at Brisbane Airport, around a seven to ten-minute drive from the terminals. AIRPARK is where you’ll find budget, long-term parking, and is available for anyone travelling domestically or internationally. There’s a free shuttle bus arriving at the AIRPARK waiting area every 15 minutes in peak times and every 25 minutes at other times, making access to both terminals is fast and easy. AIRPARK offers 24-hour CCTV and has everyday drive-up rates, or discounts for booking online, in advance. There is also an undercover option (online booking only). The car park height at AIRPARK is 4 metres, and 3.2 metres for AIRPARK Undercover.
Electric vehicle charging points: If you’re driving an electric car, you can charge it at Brisbane Airport. At Brisbane Domestic Terminal, you’ll find charging points in the car park via ParkValet. Cables are provided and charging is included in the ParkValet rate. There are also charging points in the DFO multi-level car park on the ground level. Again, cables are provided and charging is included in the hourly rate.
Brisbane Airport parking tip: If your flights are booked, why leave your parking to the last minute? Booking your parking in advance not only gives you peace of mind, it also saves you money. The majority of airport parking can be booked online directly with Brisbane Airport.
