Economy
Travellers flying in Croatia Airlines Economy Class cabin can enjoy a full inflight meal service on all international flights over 70 minutes. On shorter flights, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. In-flight entertainment in the form of drop-down screen cabins is available on selected flights, usually showing Croatian movies and documentaries. Croatia Airlines magazine ‘CROATIA’ will get you in the mood for your holiday with travel guides, events and information about a range of destinations. Economy seating has a seat pitch of 32 inches.
Business
Business Class is available on Croatia Airlines Airbus fleet for those that require a little more room and convenience. Although Business Class seating has the same seat pitch as Economy (32 inches), the airline blocks out the middle seat in rows of three to create additional space. A range of magazines and newspapers is available for Business Class passengers, as well as the airlines in-flight magazine ‘CROATIA’. A 2 or 3 course hot meal service is provided on flights of 70 minutes or more, including alcoholic beverages.
Carry-on
Economy passengers may take a piece of carry-on luggage up to 8kg in weight, with maximum sum of dimensions of 155cm. Business class passengers are able to take 2 pieces of hand luggage of the same maximum weight and dimensions as the Economy allowance. All passengers may also bring a small handbag, coat, laptop case or similar onboard.
Checked Baggage
Travellers with Economy Class tickets are able to check one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 23kg. Business Class travellers enjoy a generous free baggage allowance of 2 bags with a maximum weight of 32kg per piece. All luggage must measure in at a maximum sum of dimensions of 158cm. Additional baggage allowance is available for qualifying members of ‘Miles & More’ frequent flyer program.
Bulky Items
Large items such as sports or musical equipment may travel onboard Croatia Airlines flights as checked baggage. Passengers wishing to take bulky items must notify the airline at the time of booking, and rates are charged according to weight and volume of the individual article. All single items weighing more than 32kg and 158cm in length require pre-authorisation from the airline.
Infant Baggage
Infants flying internationally with Croatia Airlines pay 10% of the adult fare, and are entitled to a free check-in baggage allowance of 23kg. In addition to this allowance, infants are also allowed to bring a collapsible stroller or baby car seat, which will either be checked in or stowed in the airplane hold depending on which airport you’re flying from.
Restricted or Dangerous Goods
For safety reasons, many dangerous items and materials are banned from travel anywhere on Croatia Airlines flights. These items include disabling devices, electroshock weapons, explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidising materials and peroxides, poisonous and infectious substances, and radioactive or corrosive materials. Certain dangerous articles including firearms and munitions may travel in checked luggage with prior permission from the airline. In addition to these banned items, hand luggage may not contain replica firearms, knives, metal nail files, metal cutlery, double-edged razors, knitting needles, corkscrews or syringes. Liquids, gels and pastes are restricted to 100ml per item in hand luggage, and all items must fit in a 1litre transparent zip lock bag.
Web Check-in
Save time, avoid queuing at the airport and select your own seat by checking in online. Web check-in opens 23 hours prior to scheduled flight departure, right up until an hour before flight leaves. Simply print your own boarding pass and drop and check-in bags at the baggage drop counter when you get to the airport.
Airport Check-in
Croatia Airlines international flights check-in opens 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time. Check-in desks close 45 minutes before flight departs. Some airports have kiosks allowing e-ticket holders to avoid airport check-in counter queues by checking themselves in.
Lounges
Business Class passengers travelling on Croatian Airlines are entitled to access a large network of Airline Lounges.. Although the airline doesn’t operate their own airport lounge, arrangements exist for international Business Class passengers to use lounges operated by other airlines, airline networks, airports and private lounges. Most Croatian Airlines destinations throughout Europe are covered by this arrangement including London Heathrow and Gatwick, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Zagreb plus many more. Croatian Airlines is also part of the Star Alliance program, which allows Gold members of a frequent flyer program within the Alliance to access Star Alliance airport lounges worldwide, regardless of the class they are travelling in.
Croatia Airlines is a fully integrated member of Lufthansa’s Miles & More loyalty program. On every flight with Croatia Airlines, members earn award miles that can be redeemed for flight awards and upgrades, and status miles that can be used to qualify for membership status upgrade.
Status Levels
Miles and More Member
Entry-level membership to the Miles & More program can be earned from the first time you fly with a participating airline. Award points and status points can be earned each time you fly.
Frequent Traveller
Once 35,000 status miles have ben earned in one calendar year, members are eligible to move up to Frequent Traveller status. Additional 25% bonus award and status miles can be earned, and other perks including Business Class check-in, waitlist priority, and increased free baggage allowance is also available. Miles and More Frequent Travellers are also eligible for airport Business Lounge access.
Senator
Frequent flyers that clock up 100,000 status miles or more in a calendar year are eligible for Senator status level membership. Additional perks include 2 class upgrade vouchers per year of membership, First Class check-in, and access to Senator and Star Gold Lounges
