Economy

Business Class
Air Mauritius recently upgraded their business class seats to a new personal cacoon style capsule. With a generous seat pitch of 60 inches on their A330/40 aircraft, seats convert to a lie-flat bed. Built into the seat are a massage function and inflatable lumbar support. A variety of Mauritian meals are available during the flight with select beverages and entertainment options include many hours of on-demand movies, games and music.
Helicopter Services
All Air Mauritius passengers, regardless of class of travel, are able to book an Air Mauritius helicopter transfer to your hotel for a fast and unique way of arriving at your accommodation.
Helicopter services are also available for other tours and services such as Heli-golf, sightseeing tours, Heli-lunch and more.
Carry-on Baggage
Economy: One 7kg piece of cabin carry-on baggage is permitted per person. One extra piece of personal baggage is also permitted such as a handbag, briefcase, camera bag or infant bag. All cabin bags are required to fit underneath the seat in front of you or the over head lockers.
Business: Business class passengers are entitled to two 7kg bags per person. One extra personal item is also allowed including handbags, brief cases, camera or infant bags.
All carry-on bags must be within dimensions of 115cm (height +width + length).
Some handy things to pack in your carry-on include an eye mask, hand cream, phone charger and a spare shirt to freshen up.
Checked Baggage
Non-European Flights
Economy: One bag up to 23kg can be checked free of charge. Additional bags can be purchased at time of booking or at the airport. Any bag over this limit will be charged an excess baggage fee per kilo.
Business: Two bags up to 30kg per bag may be checked free of charge. Additional bags can be checked however excess baggage fees will apply.
European Flights
Economy: One bag weighing no more than 23 kg is permitted for all flights travelling to/from Europe. A second bag is allowed for a fee which is payable at the airport on day of departure.
Business class: Two bags up to 30kg per bag are permitted at no extra charge. Extra bags above this limit are charged a fee at the airport on day of departure.
Excess and extra baggage: A 20% discount applies for excess baggage if purchased online up to 48 hours prior to departure.
Infant Baggage
For all international flights (excluding flights to/from Rodrigues), infants under the age of 2 years at time of travel are allocated a free baggage allowance of 10kg per infant plus one stroller and one piece of carry-on baggage.
For all flights to Rodrigues, infants are allocated a free baggage allowance of 5kg only per infant under 2 years old at time of travel plus one stroller and one carry-on bag.
Make sure to take anything valuable in your carry-on, especially important documents and medications.
Sporting Equipment
Surfboards: For European and non-European routes, surf boards that have dimensions of less than 200cm (length + height + width) is considered part of your checked baggage allowance. If the board is outside of these dimensions or weighs greater than 23kg then excess baggage fees apply, payable at the airport at time of check-in.
Golf bags: One golf bag per passenger is permitted free of charge and not considered as part of your checked in baggage allowance. This generous allowance applies for golf bags that are less than 20kg in weight. If more than one golf bag is checked or the golf bag weighs greater than 20kg then excess baggage fees will be applied.
Diving bottles, hunting trophies and other sports equipment: For all diving bottle and other sports equipment that are outside 200cm in dimensions or over 23kg in weight, an excess baggage charge for each one way flight is payable at the airport at time of check-in. The fees vary pending your final destination.
Oversized Baggage
Any item considered as oversized baggage must be checked in and will attract a fee payable at the airport at time of check-in. Check with your consultant if travelling with any other sports equipment not outlined above or with musical instruments or other over sized bags that weigh more than 23kg in weight. This also includes wheel chairs.
Airport Check-in
Air Mauritius offers check-in at the airport on the day of departure. If travelling in business class, a dedicated check-in area will be available at your departure port. Check-in times for all international flights are as follows.

Lounges
Airport lounges are located at Mauritius International Airport and at Hong Kong International Airport. Each lounge offers a bar and buffet area with light refreshments and beverages, a dedicated children’s play area, books, magazines, a business centre and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Lounge services are available to all business class ticket holders and Kestrelflyer Elite card holders travelling in any cabin class.
Upon request, economy class passengers are able to purchase a one time lounge pass on the day of travel at the lounge reception area. Some restrictions apply and entry is subject to availability on the day.

Aie Mauritius Fleet
The Air Mauritius long-haul fleet are made up A340 and A330 aircraft. For shorter destinations and flights to some African destinations, the narrow body A319 aircraft is used and a turbo-prop ATR for intra-island flights.
